Making the switch to remote work and meet our new sister
Welcome to our new normal – a remote working agency
The coronavirus pandemic caused businesses all over the world to reevaluate how they did business and look at ways to survive the crisis intact and ready to rebuild.
Like many companies, we experienced the flow-on effect of forced business closures and had to make swift and significant changes to our operations.
As we went into isolation mid-March, taking advantage of already-established remote access facilities, we quickly concluded that we could work just as effectively as a remote team. And, choosing between maintaining a physical office at a significant cost to the agency, and creating security for staff members took approximately 10 seconds!
But remote working isn’t as simple as connecting your computer up in a home office. We’ve spent the last few months recreating our systems and processes to fill in the gaps of not physically being in the same room. Taking advantage of today’s online connection tools and facilities, we have internally launched new project management processes and communication practices so that everyone on the team is up to date.
This change will also impact how we interact with clients. Although we already had a policy to meet online where possible, we have now established this as our default option, meeting in person only where necessary. This switch enables more regular contact and allows us to deliver results in alignment with ever-changing client activities. And, in line with our commitment to Net Zero 2030, less travel will also help to reduce our carbon footprint.
Despite the potential for isolation, we’ve made sure that we stay connected online and we still look forward to our quarterly team socials and monthly team planning days by the sea.
Our new sister consultancy
What better way to celebrate the start of B Corp month than with the launch of a new sister consultancy that will grow more B Corps?
Our founder today launched The Grow Good Hub, a collaborative consultancy designed to help companies navigate the B Impact Assessment and B Corp certification process so that they can embed social and environmental business practices and rebuild better following the COVID-19 crisis.
After eight years of developing communications strategies with a focus on social impact stories, we’re taking our skills deeper to help companies create and embed new practices that will enable them to stay resilient and contribute to a better business future.
The two consultancies will work in parallel, providing clients with support through the B Corp certification process and communicating, both during and after, with their stakeholder groups to ensure a smooth transition and maximum engagement with their communities. Companies will also have access to specialist consultants for specific business improvements that arise from the certification process.
