social purpose

"Just as people cannot live without eating, so a business cannot live without profits. But most people don’t live to eat, and neither must businesses live just to make profits." - John Mackey, Whole Foods

We are entering an exciting time in the global world of business where, slowly, the wheels of change are turning and it is no longer deemed acceptable to make money at any cost; to the environment, to the community and to the people that serve organisations at every level.

Embracing the concept of social purpose or corporate social responsibility isn’t a fad, it is a deep-seated company value and goes to the heart of how an organisation is run.

Different organisations have different needs depending on their core offering, industry and structural makeup. However, having a defined purpose and the desire to operate for good is possible for every single company.

Our journey to social purpose began in 2011 when we discovered the concept of Conscious Capitalism. The idea struck a definite chord and we have been refining our purpose ever since. We are proudly completing our application to become a registered B Corp, demonstrating our own commitment to a better way to do business.

By helping our clients to identify ways that they can do business and do good, we are working towards our own goal of effecting a change in corporate culture.

Each time we work with a social enterprise, not-for-profit or a company that wants to implement changes for the better we share those messages with the wider community, cementing these concepts with each piece of media coverage, blog post, influencer post and shareable content.

Consumers today have access to so much more information about brands and are equipped with a much louder voice through social platforms. A company that operates with authenticity to truly change the world is embraced and recognised.

For us, this is simply a return to old-fashioned values of a sustainable community at all levels.
